Lawful, Awful or Artful: Perspectives on Public Art
Does public art belong to the public? This panel will examine copyright issues as they affect art commissioned for or displayed in the public, including applicable provisions of the Visual Artists Rights Act and California Art Preservation Act, common issues that arise in negotiating and enforcing contracts governing public art commissions, and post-installation issues.
