Erin Clarke

Erin Clarke’s intellectual property practice focuses on trademark and copyright counseling, clearance, prosecution, enforcement, licensing and litigation.  Ms. Clarke was an associate at Owen, Wickersham & Erickson before embarking on an academic career. She returned to OWE in 2019.

Before rejoining OWE, Ms. Clarke was a faculty member at UC Hastings for two years after more than a decade as a Lecturer in Residence at UC Berkeley School of Law in the first-year legal research, analysis, and writing program.

In addition to her previous experience as a trademark and copyright lawyer at OWE, Ms. Clarke practiced business litigation with a high-profile San Francisco law firm and spent two years coordinating the lawyer referral service for California Lawyers for the Arts, a nonprofit organization helping artists of all disciplines with legal issues.

Ms. Clarke was awarded her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1989. Her varied academic interests also earned her an M.A. in drama from San Francisco State University in 1986 and a B.A. in genetics from UC Berkeley in 1983.
